چکیده

Surfactant is one of chemical substances added in detergent. The surfactant type detergent anionic surfactant, namely Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate (ABS). a slow-degradable substance due to branched chain its structure, which causes low oxygen supply from the air foam covering water surface. This condition can cause dangerous impact for organisms water. This study aimed adsorb contained sewage using cation exchange resin. Before adsorption process, resin regeneration process was performed following standard operational procedures PT. Pertamina RU III, Plaju 4% H2SO4solution at time 45 minutes. occurred room temperature with mass variables 50, 100, and 150 g contact 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 Furthermore, content analyzed spectrophotometer 652 nm wavelength. analysis results showed that ion method 50 5 – minutes obtained capacity 0.72 g, while only 0.18 g.The best percentage achieved adsorbing up 100%. Meanwhile, closest equation assessment approach presented fromthe Langmuir isotherm model by gaining linear graphic R2 = 0.9946.

Adsorption of anionic surfactant at the electrode–NaClO4 solution interface

ABSTRACT Adsorption of 1-decanesulfonic acid at the electrode-NaClO4 solution interface was determined by double-layer differential capacity measurements. At potentials less than -1,200 mV, the adsorption of the anionic surfactant on the electrode does not occur. Low concentrations of the anionic surfactant (below cmc) causes slight changes in the zero charge potential, Ez, and the surface tens...

Effect of cationic surfactant on the adsorption characteristics of anionic surfactant on cellulose surface

Adsorption kinetics and equilibrium studies of sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (NaDBS) on cellulosic surface are investigated. Modifications in adsorption induced by cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) are studied. It is concluded that the rate of adsorption and the amount of adsorption are increased. Importance of these observations in detergency is indicated.

Method for immobilizing invertase by adsorption on Dowex® anionic exchange resin

This communication describes a method for adsorbing the invertase (EC.3.2.1.26) on DOWEX® anion exchange resin. Among the types of DOWEX® resins studied (1x8:50-400; 1x4:50-400 and 1x2:100400), 1X4-200 was the most suitable, because it adsorbed the invertase molecules completely and the complex 1X4-200/invertase retained 100% of the catalytic activity. Moreover, no leakage of enzyme from the su...

Ion Exchange Adsorption of Molybdenum with Zeolitic Adsorbent

Zeolitic adsorbents have been developed for molybdenum recovery from various sources. The batchwise adsorption ability of molybdenum ion (Mo) with zeolite A type adsorbent could be improved when the counter cation (Na) was exchanged by divalent ions (Sr and Ca), while no significant difference was observed in the case of zeolite X type adsorbent. The adsorption ability for Mo was therefore base...
